Reiki – Ancient Healing for Modern Times

Reiki, translated from Japanese, means universal life force energy.  It is a gentle, non-invasive method of hands-on healing.  The Usui form of Reiki I practice was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the 1920’s, but types of energy healing like Reiki have been practiced for millennia.

A Reiki practitioner uses the universal life force energy to harmonize and balance a person's physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels in order to allow the person's own body to heal itself.  The Reiki practioner is simply a conduit or channel for the energy flow.

Reiki is not a religion; it is a healing process.

Because Life Force flows through us, we are “alive”. This life-giving energy flows along pathways or channels in the body called meridians, chakras and nadis. It also surrounds us in an energy field called the aura. As this life energy flows normally through the body, nourishing and cleansing our organs and cells, it brings us good health and wellbeing. When the flow is disrupted or diminished to certain areas of the body by stress, mental/emotional problems or trauma in our lives, our body’s energy becomes unbalanced and we can experience health problems. Reiki, by bringing in renewing life force energy, brings our body’s energy back into balance and harmony, allowing the body to heal itself.

Reiki is both powerful and gentle.  It has been known to effectively help with many illnesses and injuries. Reiki before surgery relaxes the body and after surgery, it reduces healing time and eases pain.  Reiki anytime reduces stressAnimals too can experience the healing energy of Reiki.

Using the Healing Powers of the Flowers

Flower Essences are potentized liquid plant preparations.  Each remedy is made from a specific flower having a certain signature or energy imprint that addresses specific emotions, behavior patterns, or attitudes.  Using the flower essences, we can integrate our body and soul, becoming a happier being. The Essences work on a higher level to effect changes in our inner life.  They facilitate our self-awareness of issues, often hidden, that need to be addressed and brought into the open in order for us to be whole and healthy. Because our emotional and mental states affect us physically, dealing with these issues in our lives can help heal our body as well.
